local bars

Hi. I am planning a trip to Okpo soon and I would like to know which bars to stay away from and which ones are fun to hang out at but without any hassle from girls wanting me to buy "services" from them. Some foreigners clubs that I have heard about are - Angel, Duty free, Sting, Eldorado, Red, and VIP. Does anyone have anything to share about any of these places? I would love to know before I come. Thanks!

Sid; the bars you mention are fun to hang around as well - as the other bars in Okpo. A grown up man should be able to decide what he want in a bar, all bars are ready to service you with a drink, some something more; as in any other part of the world.

The foreigner's club in Okpo is a great place for a drink and a meal - but you probably already know that by checking out this website...joining the club is easy and reasonable even if you are only staying a week or two.

It's funny that most of the bars you mention are bars with take away girls.
Shamrock, Nani's; those don't have pay-to-be--my-freind-plus-benefits girls.
You'll pretty much know as soon as you enter the bar as to what type it is.

thank you to those who have helped me with ideas and information. It is in fact my first time out of the country and like I said I am a little nervous as to what to expect.

I'll be visiting Korea soon and probably Okpo(also Busan and Seoul).
I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction for places where the people working on all the newbuilds hang out?
I'd like to talk to anyone about working on one as ships officer or dynamic positioning officer. I do have lots of experience, I'm just trying to find something outside the GOM. Any help would be appreciated.
I'd also like to get some more general information on things to do, places to see for the time I'll be in Korea (mid April-mid May).
