Hallo dear all,

my name is Daniela and I am working at DSME shipyard for a few months (since July). And I would urgently need a vet for a cat (vaccination).
Could anybody help me with an adress or telephone number? I've read on the page here that there should be a vet somewhere in Geoje but couldn't find any further info.

Thanks a lot
Daniela

There is a vet in Homeplus that should be able to help you out. There is one lady there that speaks English, her name is Sonja and she only works Mondays and Tuesdays. The number is 055.680.0975.

Hello Daniela,

There is a Vet in Okpo next to the fire station on the main road, the man in there also speaks some English. I would say he provides a good service.

I dont have Sonia's email, but her number is 010-3554-5696. I think she now has a small clinic in Suwol; not sure if she is still working at the one in Homeplus as well.

Hi everyone,

We're moving to Okpo from France late August and we have two small family cats we'd like to import to Geoje with us. We would much appreciate it if anyone could give us details on vets there in Okpo particularly the vet near the fire station. Any advice welcome. Thanks. Derek & Pirjo.

Derek,

One of the best vets we have found is on the second floor of Tesco home plus in Guyuen, the vet has excellent English.I have not used the one beside the fire station.

Thanks Kitty. Do you have a contact number or website for the vet. ? We will be bringing the two cats with us from Geneva (to Busan and then to Okpo) so I think we need some advice on import procedures and a 'pet hotel' for two weeks until we move to our accommodation.
Thanks again for the post.

Hello Derek & Pirjo,
I am planning to settle myself in the future in Okpo taking the opportunity to a new position for my job proposed by my company. I will be also with my cat (he is a chartreux cat) and I am having the same questions as you posted earlier, but no advice has been given yet so may-be you can give some help or other person can give some help.
I am from Paris so I will be traveling from Paris to Seoul, then from Seoul to Busan and then to Geoje island.
I would like to know from your experience how the transfer from Seoul to Busan has taken place as we are forced to change the airport in Seoul from Incheon Airport to Gimpo Airport because after a long flight the cat may be tired and nervous. Did you make a stop in Seoul before going to Busan and using a ?pet hotel'? And in Busan did you finally use the service of a ?pet hotel' before to move to your final accomodation?
Have you found the service of a veterinary in Geoje island, and food, litter and products for cat?
Thanks in advance for your advices.
